OUR STORY
Tynes Quarry is located a few miles south of the famous Delabole quarry in the Jacket's formation of Upper-Devonian slate and is one of Cornwall's important, protected slate reserves. The site has been worked since the 1800s and has a great history; including providing slate for both Truro Cathedral and the re-building of Plymouth following bombing during WW2.

We are very excited to be working with this high quality, highly sought after product. Tynes slate is well known locally and prized for its good cleavage which produces well split horizontal lines with good aesthetics.
We are continually expanding our product range in response to market conditions and are able to develop bespoke products by request.
